Board Games In My Rotation
- Dead Man’s Cabal: Be the Best Necromancer. Throw a party with your new undead friends!
- Dominion: A classic deck builder with tons of expansions and great replayability.
- Everdell: Want to build the best woodland kingdom filled with super cute forest critters? This should work for you. Many expansions, and standalone products that tie in with the main world.
- Evolution: Want to build a Yak with a turtle shell and a Giraffe neck? Yup, you can probably do that. Just be careful, your opponent has some plans with their horned flying monstrosity, and your Yak is looking tasty…
- Expeditions: From the makers of Scythe and set in the same universe. Explore an alternate Tunguska Event (one with some weird tentacles involved).
- Gloom: Play a card game where the family of biggest, suffering, sad sack losers. Win after living hellish lives only to die in absurd and darkly humorous ways.
- Lizard Wizard: Collect Reagents, Cast some Spells, Delve a Dungeon, Build a Tower or two . Recruit some Wizards… who are Lizards.
- Merchants of the Dark Road: Buy and sell goods, Recruit Heroes, Travel the Dark Road with said goods and heroes. Get rich (hopefully).
- Root: A Game of Woodland Might and Right: If you like Everdell and cute woodland creatures, then you should like Root and those woodland creatures going to war with each other.
- Scythe: In an alternate Dieselpunkish 1920’s the war is over, or is it? Expand territory, compete with the table, Use your Mechs, and come out on top of Europa’s heap.
- Terra Mystica: A Euro-style game about expanding and terraforming territory for your fantastical civilization/faction.
- Terraforming Mars: You are one of the CEOs in charge of one of the Megacorps contracted to help Terraform the Red Planet. Be better at it than everyone else!
- Tzolk’in: The Mayan Calendar: Dynamic worker placement on GEARS THAT MOVE. Competing tribes work their way through the Mayan Calendar. As a side note, at our table we lovingly call this “The Corn game”.
- Wasteland Express Delivery Service: You are a driver for the last delivery company in a post apocalyptic hellhole. Ever wondered what its like to be the Fedex guy in Fallout or Mad Max? Here you go.
- Wyrmspan: You are a dracologist building a sanctuary for dragons of all kinds. Collect some eggs, hatch some monsters, it’s perfectly safe (there isn’t a mechanic for getting eaten by your scaly wards).
